We have a MASc/Ph.D. in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering position opening for a Canadian Citizen/ Permanent Resident for Winter/Fall 2025 at Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON. The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimal GPA of 3.5/4.3.

Description:

1. The successful candidate will perform research related to pneumatic and non-pneumatic tire modeling, vehicle dynamics, and tire mechanics. 
2. The candidate is expected to carry out simulations and testing in the supervisor's university lab. 
3. The candidate is expected to carry out teaching assistant duties along with research duties. 
4. The candidate is expected to write and present publications at international conferences and events. 

Qualifications: 

1. Hold a four-year honors undergraduate engineering degree in a relevant field from an accredited engineering program at a Canadian university, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. The minimum overall academic standing of a B (GPA: 3.5 on a 4.3 scale or 73 to 76 %) with a minimum B in the last two full-time years (four semesters) of undergraduate work or equivalent. B+ is preferred for MASc applicants.
3. Prior knowledge of vehicle dynamics, computational modeling, and ANSYS is an asset.
